Description of the research group
«Tourism, Heritage and Development » is one of the lines of investigation of the department of Human Geography (Complutense University of Madrid). We try to analyze and to explain the relations and interdependences between tourism, heritage and development, with geographical approach, with priority attention to destinations and patrimonial geographical areas (cultural, natural or landscape). We work also to reveal and clarifying the paper of the tourism, positive or negative, on the new processes of urban change and territorial development.
