There are two posts opening up in Geography at RhodesUniversity, Grahamstown, South Africa at Professor/Associate Professor level (1 position) and at Senior Lecturer/Lecturer level (1 position) in the following disciplines:
Physical Geography
(Fluvial Geomorphology/ Water Resources Management/Sediment Dynamics, or related field: 1 Position)
Human Geography
(Urban Geography or related field: 1 Position).
The level of appointment will depend on the expertise and track record of the applicant.
Requirements
Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer:
Applicants must have a PhD, a proven track record in research as well as proven track record in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision appropriate to the level of appointment and career path.
Lecturer:
Preferably a PhD, but candidates with a Master’s degree will be considered if there is evidence of being on track towards obtaining a doctoral degree as well as some teaching or tutoring experience.
