Senior level geospatial analyst/programmer responsible for supporting ESRI desktop and server products. Develops, deploys, maintains data entry environments for permit polygons, conveyances in parcel fabric, and dynamic segmentation for canal work orders. Automates analytical and processing tasks using scripting language and tools such as .NET, C#, Python and Model Builder. Work is performed under general supervision of the IT/GIS Manager. The GIS Section is responsible for the management of the District’s Conveyance Parcels, Canal Centerlines, and Permit Polygons. In addition, the section is responsible for maintaining approximately 30 layers in the enterprise geodatabase as well as providing other geospatial related products and services.
Essential Job Functions:
• Provide consulting in best practices for data management including workflows, tools, governance models, and integration patterns.
• Demonstrates proficiency in geospatial analysis and data modeling.
• Demonstrates and maintains proficiency with current and developing technologies and software related to geospatial analysis.
• Designs and implements geospatial data processing, analytical, and maintenance procedures.
• Develops various types of maps and related data sets.
• Due to the District’s emergency response role, position may be required to provide support before, during and after major storm events and emergency situations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computers Science, or other related field. At least 5 (five) years providing geospatial analysis and programming services demonstrating measurable technical career growth.
• GIS Professional (GISP) preferred
• Valid Florida Driver’s License
Salary Grade: 115 Min. $54,018; Mid $71,573
